Family Soap-making at Home
We usually host soap-making workshops at Makersmiths around this time of year to make luxury soaps as Mother's Day gifts, but COVID-19 restrictions limit the number of people who can gather in-person for our workshops. So let's try something different! We will put together soap-making kits for making soaps at home with your own family members. The instructor will provide the kits and will be available to give virtual instruction on Saturday morning, May 8 from 10-11:30AM.
Each kit will come with instructions, an essential oil bottle, one pound of goats-milk based soap base and other ingredients needed based on the kit you choose: Lavender Chamomile or Honey-Almond-Oatmeal soaps. The kit will also come with the pink silicone mold (as pictured above) that will make 8 luxury soaps any Mom would love! All you will need is a microwave, measuring spoons, a stirring spoon, space in your freezer or fridge to put a small tray (as pictured above) and a container such as quart measuring cup that can go in a microwave.
Sign up by May 6 so the instructor can get the kits to you before the workshop May 8. When you register for this workshop, your confirmation email will contain the link to the Google Meet for the virtual meeting at 10Am May 8.
